Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Zahid Mehmood Qasmi on Monday urged Ulema to come forward to confront the views of Daesh. Addressing an Ulema convention organized by PUC here, he said that it was the responsibility of Ulema to convey the message of Islamic moderation to save the young generation from all kind of terrorism.

Terrorist organizations such as Daesh are made to destroy the peace of Islamic countries and to face such threats Muslim Ummah must unite against the cruelties on the Muslims of Syria, Iraq, Kashmir, Palestine and other parts of the world. Zahid Mehmood Qasmi who is also the member of Council Islamic Ideological (CII) said that PUC has appealed masses to observe coming Friday as "The Day for the protection of Harimain Sharifain Wal-Aqsa" throughout the country.

Other leading Ulema including PUC Vice chairman Molana Ubaid-ur-Rehman Zia, Peer Ji Khalid Mehmood Qasmi, Central Secretary General Molana Shah Nawaz Farooqi, President of Islamabad Molana Zulfiqar Ahmad, Hafiz M Amjad, Molana M Mushtaq Lahori, Molana Taj Mehmood Rehan and Moulana Umar Qasmi also addressed the gathering. Zahid Mehmood Qasmi said that western powers are united in attacking Muslim countries to weaken the Islam and Muslims, adding that following the destruction of Libya, Syria Iraq and Palestine, their next target is Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

PUC Vice chairman Molana Ubaid-ur-Rehman Zia said that the Muslims countries must be united for the safety and stability of Pakistan as well as Saudi Arabia, Turkey and others. Zia said that Muslim Ummah can sacrifice everything for the protection of their sanctuaries. No one will be allowed to play with the safety and stability of the sacred land (Harimain Sharifain).

Peer Ji Khalid Mehmood Qasmi said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia relation cannot be weakened which are based on the strong bond of faith. The Pulpit and the sanctuary must play their role in ending terrorism and extremism, he added. Central Secretary General Moulana Shah Nawaz Farooqi said that Ulema are fully cooperating with the government, Pak army and law enforcing institutions in ending terrorism and extremism. He said that Muslim Ummah has to be united for the solution of these problems. The Muslim community is being divided through conspiracy.

Those who shed the innocent blood of humanity in the name of Islam and Muslims have nothing to do with Islam. Islam does not allow the killing of any innocent in the name of Islam. PUC's Islamabad chapter president, Molana Zulfiqar Ahmad said that Muslim Ummah will not allow any conspiracy against the safety and stability of Saudi Arabia and the protection of the Harimain Sharifain.

The speakers said that PUC will continue the struggle against terrorism and extremism. They said that Pakistan will not let Saudi Arabia suffer from instability and Ulema stand side by side with the Pak Army for the safety and stability of Pakistan. They said that "Welcome Ramazan and stability of Pakistan Conference" will be held in Samundari on 18th May under the supervision of PUC.
